While working in destination planning, Jennifer recognized an opportunity to elevate an often-overlooked part of the guest experience: thoughtfully designed activities for spouses and companion guests. Pink Palmetto Events was born from that idea—creating engaging experiences that allow guests to connect, explore, and enjoy every moment beyond the traditional itinerary.
Today, that specialty remains a cornerstone of Pink Palmetto Events, while the vision has grown to include a wide range of creative experiences for every type of gathering. At the heart of every Pink Palmetto experience is the same goal: creating moments that inspire connection and leave people with memories they’ll carry long after the event ends.
With more than 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality, event planning, and destination management, Jennifer Kenwell has built her career around creating meaningful moments that bring people together.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has designed and executed events and experiences for corporate groups, luxury travelers, and private celebrations around the world.

Founder & Creative Director From student to instructor, Sam has been part of the Pink Palmetto Events story from the beginning.
After taking Jennifer's very first Mahjong class, she fell in love with the game and now enjoys helping others experience the same excitement.
After leaving Japan in 2020, Sam is now a Bluffton local with her family, and loves the friendships and community that Mahjong creates.

As our Mahjong Experience Specialist, she's passionate about supporting the Pink Palmetto Events team and loves seeing the community she's raised her family in come together, build friendships, and make lasting memories around the Mahjong table.
